First off, we don’t hate the TTC. We have to use it every day, just like you, which means learning to live with all its quirks and issues. We want to know if there are any problems; if we’re going to be late and can avoid it, but we’re not provided with that kind of information. Schedules are just times on a piece of paper, and we all know they don’t mean jack. It’s not the TTC’s fault, it’s just the way it is… the way it was.

Now, thanks to the combined awesomeness of the internet and mobile, not to mention Twitter (specifically the #ttcfail hashtag), every single person riding on the TTC can help every other single person riding on the TTC get where they’re going by avoiding snares in service before the TTC even knows something is going on.

Where the TTC fails, we’re there to pick you up and get you where you’re going.

TTCFail in a nutshell

TTCFail uses the power of big time Pulse to allow any rider on the TTC to update other riders of any slowdowns, stoppages or issues on the TTC. You can sign up to get notifications through social media about specific routes on the TTC and send notifications using TTCFail. The notifications arrive via twitter or RSS!

Our ideal BETA user

  • Frequent user of the TTC in all its glorious forms
  • Smartphone user familiar with social media
  • Easily frustrated with TTC service issues
  • All around awesome guys and gals
  • Uses the word awesome at least 5 times per day

Get in while the getting is good, and someday you can tell your grandkids you were a BETA user for TTCFail!

Oh and in case you didn’t realize, this has nothing to do with the official TTC and we’re not trying to step on anyone’s toes.  Your email addresses won’t be used for anything other than to inform you if you have been selected for the BETA launch.
TTCFail is a big time joint feat. David Akermanis.
